Lottery Results Today – Latest Winning Numbers for Players in Nigeria

Did your numbers come up? Let's check. WeLoveLotto puts the latest lottery results from around the world on one page, so you don't have to open ten different sites. When a draw finishes, we post the numbers here.

Here's the annoying part. Most of the big draws happen at night in the US or Europe, and that can mean 4 am for us. So you might wake up, grab your phone and want to know right away. That's what this page is for. Every time you see here is in Nigerian time (WAT), so there's no counting hours on your fingers.

Check the Latest International Lottery Results

Choose a game from the dropdown. You'll see the newest winning numbers, the bonus ball or Lucky Stars, the date of the draw and the jackpot for that night.

Once you have your game open, put your ticket next to the numbers and compare. Never done it before? No problem. There's a step by step guide lower down.

Today's Biggest Lottery Jackpots

A jackpot gets bigger every time nobody wins it. Some begin small and end up at hundreds of millions. This list shows the biggest prizes you can play for right now and when the next draw is, in WAT.

Before you get carried away by a giant number, know this:

  • The big number you see in the headlines is usually the annuity prize. That's the total you'd get if you took yearly payments over many years.
  • There's also a cash option. It's smaller, but the money comes in one go.
  • Each game pays in its own money. Powerball and Mega Millions are in US dollars, EuroMillions and EuroJackpot are in euros, and UK Lotto is in pounds.

Popular Lottery Results in Nigeria

These are the games Nigerians search for most. They're all a bit different, so here's how each one works.

US Powerball Results

Powerball is huge. You pick five white balls and one red ball, the Powerball. Draws happen on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights in the US, which means the results reach us early on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday morning.

To take the jackpot you need all six numbers. That's very hard, of course. But there are smaller prizes for fewer matches, so check your ticket anyway. You might have won something and not know it.

US Mega Millions Results

Mega Millions is close to Powerball. You pick five numbers, plus one Mega Ball. The US draws are on Tuesday and Friday nights. For us, that's early Wednesday and early Saturday.

The jackpots here can get wild. When nobody wins, the prize just rolls over and grows. We post the numbers right after each draw.

EuroMillions Results

EuroMillions is played in lots of European countries. Draws are on Tuesday and Friday. You pick five main numbers and two Lucky Stars.

For Nigerian players this one is easy to follow because the draw is in the evening. You don't need an alarm. The jackpot has a limit, but it's still a lot of money, and there are many smaller prizes too.

EuroJackpot Results

EuroJackpot is also drawn on Tuesday and Friday. Five main numbers, two Euro numbers. The top prize is usually smaller than EuroMillions. The upside is that your chance of winning something is better.

So if you'd rather have more chances at a smaller win, watch this one.

UK Lotto Results

UK Lotto draws on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. You pick six numbers and a bonus ball is drawn as well. People in Britain have played it for many years.

The jackpot won't match the American games. But the rules are easy to understand, and lots of players like that.

Lottery Results by Region

Looking for a game from a specific place? Here's a quick guide.

USA Lotteries

The US has some of the biggest jackpots in the world. Powerball and Mega Millions get all the attention, but there's more. Lotto America and Cash4Life are played in many states. Some states, like New York and Florida, run their own Lotto too. The prizes are smaller, but the draws come often. You can check all of them here.

European Lotteries

Some European games are shared across countries. Others belong to just one. EuroMillions and EuroJackpot are the shared ones. Then you have national games like La Primitiva in Spain, SuperEnalotto in Italy, Lotto 6aus49 in Germany and Loto in France. Every country has its own draw days and rules.

UK Lotteries

In the UK you'll find Lotto, Lotto HotPicks, Thunderball and Set For Life. Thunderball is a favourite because the top prize never changes and your odds are better than in the big jackpot games. Set For Life is different. You don't get one big payment. You get money every month for years.

Australian and Other International Lotteries

Australia has Powerball, Oz Lotto, Saturday Lotto and Set for Life. Canada has Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max. South Africa and Ireland have well known draws too. To see the latest numbers for any of these, use the dropdown at the top.

Lottery Draw Schedule in Nigerian Time (WAT)

Time zones can be confusing. This table shows when each big game is drawn in Nigeria. Just remember that the US and Europe move their clocks at different times of the year. So a draw might shift by an hour.

Lottery Draw Days Approx. Time in Nigeria (WAT)
US Powerball Mon, Wed, Sat (US time) Early Tue, Thu, Sun, about 4 am to 5 am
US Mega Millions Tue, Fri (US time) Early Wed and Sat, about 4 am to 5 am
EuroMillions Tue, Fri Evening, about 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm
EuroJackpot Tue, Fri Evening, about 7 pm to 8 pm
UK Lotto Wed, Sat Evening, about 8 pm to 9 pm
Australia Powerball Thursday Late morning, about 11 am to 12 noon

Want the exact time for the next draw? The jackpot list above always has it.

How to Check Your Lottery Ticket Online

This takes about one minute.

  1. Look at your ticket. Find the name of the game, the date of the draw and your numbers. The date has to match the draw you're checking.
  2. Pick your game. Use the dropdown at the top of the page.
  3. Read the winning numbers. Compare them with yours, one at a time. Don't skip the extra ball. That's the Powerball, Mega Ball or Lucky Stars, depending on the game.
  4. Count your matches. Each game has a prize table. Even two or three matches can pay something.
  5. Check again. It's very easy to misread a number, especially when you just woke up. Go through it slowly a second time.
  6. Confirm on the official site. If you think you won, look at the lottery's own website before you do anything else.

Bought your ticket through an online lottery service? Then it's usually saved in your account, and some services check it for you. Still, take a look yourself. It costs nothing.

What to Do If You Win

Winning can feel strange. Breathe first. Then do these things in this order.

Sign the back of your ticket

In a lot of places, an unsigned ticket belongs to anyone who holds it. Write your name on it now. Take clear photos of the front and the back too.

Keep it safe

Don't fold it, wet it or leave it on a table. Put it somewhere secure until you claim your prize.

Find out the claim rules

Every lottery has a deadline. It could be a few months, or it could be a year. Some prizes must be collected in person. Others can be claimed online.

Don't tell everyone

Good news travels fast, and not everyone who hears it is happy for you. Tell only the people you trust most.

Watch for scams

A real lottery will never ask you to pay a fee to get your money. If someone calls or emails you about a win in a game you never played, it's a scam. Don't send money. Don't share your bank details.

Talk to a lawyer and an accountant

This matters most for a big win. Tax and payout rules change from country to country, and a good adviser can save you from costly mistakes.

Take your time

Nothing says you must decide today. Slow choices are usually better than quick ones.

Lottery Results FAQs

How soon are results updated after a draw?

Quickly. For most games, the numbers appear here within minutes of the official announcement. If a draw is late, our update will be late too. You can always compare with the official lottery site.

Where can I see past lottery results?

Pick a game from the dropdown and look through its draw history. It's handy if you're checking an old ticket, or if you're just curious about which numbers came up before. Just don't read too much into it. Old results can't tell you what will come next, because every draw is random.

Do I get notified if my ticket wins?

It depends on how you bought it. With an online lottery service, you'll normally get an email or a message when you win. With a paper ticket from a shop, nobody will call you. You have to check the numbers yourself, so make a habit of checking after every draw.
